HARRISBURG – A resolution sponsored by Rep. Mark Keller (R-Perry/Cumberland) that designates the week of Feb. 19-26, 2018, as “FFA Week” in Pennsylvania was unanimously adopted by the House of Representatives on Monday.

“I have always been a strong supporter of FFA, because through its efforts, the organization is helping to ensure the future of Pennsylvania’s No. 1 industry – agriculture – will be in excellent hands,” said Keller.

The Future Farmers of America was founded in 1925 in Virginia by agriculture teachers for middle and high school students to promote and support agricultural education. The National FFA Organization, as it is now known, has more than 653,000 members across the country, including more than 13,000 members in Pennsylvania.

Keller was joined in the House Chamber by the state FFA officers, whom he introduced after the vote on House Resolution 660.
